PU endles sleeve timing belts
PU rolls are manufactured endless, i.e. without joints, by casting into a mold. Timing belts made from cast molded rolls with continuous tension cords have excellent tensile strength with low elongation. This enables them to transmit high drive powers even at high speeds. Thanks to their excellent mechanical properties, they are used for challenging tasks with high precision. Any desired belt width up to 300 mm can be cut from the roll. The length depends on the respective mold, here we have all standard lengths and many special lengths in stock.
Belt structure
- Belt body made of molded thermoplastic polyurethane with high abrasion resistance.
- Tension cords made of steel with a high modulus of elasticity ensure excellent dimensional stability under load.
Special tension cords
Stainless steel
Timing belts with tension cords made of stainless steel are suitable for highly corrosive environments or for the food industry. Their tensile strength is slightly lower than that of standard steel tension cords.Aramid
Timing belts with aramid fibers have very good bending properties and absorb shock loads. The belts are lightweight and flexible but tend to elongate under load.Special materials
For applications at particularly high or low temperatures, special polyurethanes are available. PU materials with approval for the food industry in compliance with EU and FDA guidelines are also available.Product features
