The handling of pharmaceutical products demands the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the entire production and packaging process. As well as increased corrosion protection, the easiest possible cleaning, low abrasion and high resistance to cleaning agents, drive and conveyor belts must also meet strict legal requirements in order to be approved for direct contact with pharmaceuticals.

Textile industry
The fabrication of textile products requires a large number of technically extremely demanding work processes. Among other things, this involves the use of combing, spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, printing, embroidery and sewing machines whose drives are subjected to high dynamic loads. In addition, delicate fabrics must be transported from one station to the next on conveyor lines without being damaged. The textile industry relies here on belt drives for various reasons: on the one hand because of their low failure susceptibility, and on the other hand also because of their high precision and quiet operation.

If you would like to briefly summarize the very versatile tasks in the packaging industry, simply put, both the goods to be packaged and the packaging material must be in the same place at exactly the same moment. In reality, this entails complex workflows that must be precisely coordinated to ensure a smooth process. With the use of suitable conveyor and timing belts, numerous tasks become possible, such as feeding, filling, weighing, separating, bundling or blistering the goods, folding, shrinking and sealing the packages, as well as labeling and palletizing the packaged products.

Starting with the harvest and ending with the shipment of products ready for sale, tobacco goes through numerous process steps. While in the past most of this was manual work, today almost all tasks can be automatized. One challenge is that tobacco, as a natural product, changes its nature and thus its transport properties in the course of the different processing steps. Also, the varying temperatures during processing must be taken into account in transport and conveying tasks between stations. And last but not least, belts that come into direct contact with the tobacco must meet strict specifications by the authorities and the tobacco industry.

Machine tools
Belts in machine tools have to fulfill two essential tasks: On the one hand, timing belts transmit drive forces to rotating tools, such as drilling or milling spindles. On the other hand, belts can also be used to implement linear movements that are used to position either the tool or the workpiece.
Since our customers rightly expect high precision and repeatability in positioning and drive tasks, Alphabelt relies on belts that are designed to feature minimized elongation, even under varying operating conditions and temperatures. Furthermore, running noise can be reduced and wear resistance considerably increased by coatings on the tooth side. In practice, this means lower maintenance effort and a longer service life.

Paper and Printing Industry
High velocities, abrasive media and the highest possible precision - these are only some of the challenges that timing belts have to face in the paper and printing industry. A large number of different processing steps, such as conveying, positioning, folding or packaging, require careful selection of drive and conveyor belts. It is quite often that specially designed high-performance timing belts are used here, which are able to cope with the enormous loads.

Wood industry
Not only in sawmills, but also in the production of composite wood materials such as MDF boards or laminate flooring, belts are used as drive and transport elements for a variety of tasks. Depending on the application, they are exposed to extreme dynamic loads, high temperatures, moisture, glues, resins and other chemical substances.
Alphabelt supplies timing, V-belt and poly-V-belts for the wood industry that meet such requirements. Our product range includes heavy-duty drive belts that absorb shocks and impacts during wood shredding, conveyor belts that have good release properties even in moist chips, and anti-adhesive coatings that are suitable for works where melamine resins are used. We do not offer "off-the-shelf" belts, but a solution optimized for the specific application.
Extrusion
In extrusion, to put it simply, molten material is pressed through a forming die, so that theoretically endless profiles are produced. As soon as the product leaves the die, it has to be picked up by special haul-off belts and continuously transported further. The pulling and contact forces that occur during this process are enormous. In addition, the haul-off belts have to withstand high speeds and temperatures.
Haul-off belts by Alphabelt are specially designed for the extreme requirements in extrusion lines. The combination of proven manufacturing processes, belt materials, cords, coatings and profiles result in high-performance belts that ensure precise haul-off and long durability.
