Toothed belt pulleys

Toothed belt pulleys are responsible for driving the timing belts. Profile and pitch of both components must match each other exactly to ensure precision and smooth running of the drive. This is particularly important for tasks where high positioning accuracy and precise clocking are required.

As with our timing belts, we do not rely on mass-produced goods for our toothed pulleys, but on carefully manufactured individual items that we produce exactly to your specifications and adapt to your application.

All common pitches and profiles available

Toothed belt pulleys are available in metric and inch pitches. These include, for example, standard T-profile gears, reinforced versions for transmitting higher torques with AT profile, and HDT gears for M profiles used for precision applications. Toothed pulleys with performance-optimized tooth shapes for polychain belts are also available.

Toothed belt pulleys made of different materials

Usually, timing belt pulleys are made of aluminum, steel or gray cast iron, depending on their size and application. However, stainless steel is also used for special applications, for example in the food and pharmaceutical sectors or in corrosive environments.

Fastening options for the toothed belt pulley on the drive shaft

Taper bushings are often used to ensure that the timing belt pulley can be installed or replaced as quickly and easily as possible. These form a non-positive connecting element between the timing belt pulley and the shaft. Toothed belt pulleys for taper lock bushings are available either finish-machined with a tapered bore and keyway or as a complete set with a matching bushing. Both variants can be mounted without further machining.

Alternatively, we also manufacture pre-drilled toothed belt pulleys for finish bores. On request, you can obtain hub bores with standardized fits and DIN grooves, but also individually manufactured designs with special bores, special grooves, bores with fastening threads transverse to the shaft and much more.
