Neoprene timing belts
Neoprene timing belts are manufactured as cast molded rolls with widths from 200 to 400 mm. Within these limits, any belt width is available, as the timing belt is only individually cut to the required width when ordered. The length of the timing belts is specified by production. We have all standard and numerous special lengths in stock The high power transmission of the timing belt is characteristic of the coiled embedded tension cords. In addition, they keep constant in length over time. They have a high breaking strength and excellent adhesion with the belt body. Furthermore, our neoprene timing belts ensure very smooth operation. They form the base for further refinement and processing steps, which allows a wide range of special solutions to be realized.
Belt structure
- The belt body of the neoprene timing belt is made of a high-quality chloroprene compound with a hardness of 74 Shore A. Thus, the belt is suitable for a wide temperature range from -30 °C to +70 °C.
- High-strength glass fiber strands arranged in bifilar and spiral form are used as tension cords. Tension cords made of glass fiber transmit high power and at the same time give a high flexural strength to the timing belt.
- A high-strength polyamide fabric on the tooth side reduces friction and protects the contact surfaces from wear.
